Enter fractions the way you would write them
Measurement fields accept decimals such as 2.5, simple fractions such as 1/4, and mixed numbers such as 2 3/8. Put a space between the whole number and the fraction. Use digits and a slash when typing a fraction. A decimal comma is also accepted, so 2,5 means 2.5; don't use commas as thousands separators.
Choose the unit before changing the measurements
Use the in, cm or mm buttons to choose how measurements appear. Switching units converts the existing values, so a 60-inch width becomes 152.4 centimeters rather than 60 centimeters. If your plan is already in centimeters, switch first and then enter your numbers. Piece counts and percentages don't change with the unit.

One inch is 2.54 centimeters or 25.4 millimeters. One yard is 36 inches, 91.44 centimeters or 914.4 millimeters. For example, 2⅜ inches is 60.325 millimeters. Fabric amounts to buy are shown in yards, even when you're entering the quilt dimensions in metric units.
Use the cut size shown, then round the purchase
Display values may be rounded to make them readable. Don't repeatedly round a measurement while moving between a pattern and a shopping list. Use the cut sizes and raw length for planning, then round the purchase amount up to the increment your fabric shop sells. The SVG, CSV and PDF exports label their inch and yard measurements explicitly.
